As a small, specialised surgical practice, we prioritise urgent, life-threatening cases—such as blocked bladders or intestinal obstructions—over elective procedures like cruciate ligament repairs. While this may result in rescheduling less urgent cases, our size allows us to remain flexible and responsive, ensuring your pet is seen as quickly as possible. As Perth’s newest referral surgery practice, we are committed to accommodating your pet’s needs efficiently.
Dr. Taka is a Board-Certified Specialist Surgeon (Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons – DACVS; and Asian College of Veterinary Surgeon - AiCVS) and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT). As Perth’s first board-certified surgeon with an on-site full rehabilitation facility, we provide seamless, comprehensive care. Residency-trained veterinary anaesthetist will provide extensive local analgesia perioperatively to provide additional analgesia, that will reduce general anaesthetic doses, helping recovery while maintaining analgesia. From surgery to recovery, we optimise your pet’s healing process under one roof - ensuring a deeper understanding of their needs at every stage.
